Odoo Vehicle Catalog and VIN Decoding

Core Odoo ships vehicle brands but no models, so every customer vehicle is typed by hand and repair history can't be grouped by model. These two modules give Odoo 18's Fleet app real vehicle data. They need no OCA modules, and they're useful to any business that tracks vehicles, from a repair shop's customers to a company's own fleet.

Features

• shop_vehicle_catalog: a catalog of US makes and models, light-duty autos and Class 6-8 trucks, with each model's production years and a Year/Make/Model picker on the vehicle form. It reuses Odoo's own brands where they exist.

• shop_vehicle_vin: decodes a VIN against the NHTSA vPIC API and fills in the model, year, engine, drivetrain, and body, from a button on the form or in bulk from the list. It warns on a bad check digit and notes what changed in the chatter.

Getting started

Add the repository's 18.0 branch to your addons path and install the modules from the Apps menu. The documentation covers both. With odoo-nix: odoo module add Avunu/fleet-addons 18.0.
